Aptic hosts meeting for Sweden’s largest networking group for IT women

News, 15 March, 2016

Only about 20 percent of the employees in the IT industry in Sweden today are women. At Aptic, we are above average, but we need more talented women both here with us and in the industry at large! In the future, the lack of women in the IT sector will become acute, not only from a gender perspective. There is already an estimated shortage of almost a million people in the IT sector in the EU!  To increase the number of girls and women in the fields of IT requires efforts from several directions and we, as employers, have a great responsibility!

We want to help inspire!

On 25 April, Aptic will host a networking meeting for Sweden’s largest network of women in the IT industry, #addher. Our board member, and former CEO, Susanne Bruce will talk about how e-commerce is changing the entire market and about the next big trend regarding payments. She will also give an insight into how it is, as a woman, to lead a growing company that provides IT solutions for the financial industry – a male-dominated industry with tough requirements, sudden changes and tough competition from international giant companies. After Susanne’s lecture, there will be tasty food and some inspiring mingling!
