In mid-2018, the EU Data Protection Regulation, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), EU regulation 2016/679, will become national law in EU countries. Much of what is in the data protection regulation is similar to that found in Swedish personal data protection laws today, but GDRP also contains major changes and several new features. The enhanced protection for personal data involve development, both technical and legal, for our industry, including for instance exports of personal data. Aptic is monitoring how the changes will affect the industry and will ensure that Aptic ARC is adapted to the new data protection regulation.

Today, Sept 29th, Aptic is participating at a seminar given by the Swedish Collection Association to find out more about what GDPR will mean for companies and authorities related to the collection industry and the challenges in this area. Exciting!
